SO this week, on Fit Friday I decided to step outside of the gym and into a studio for some hot stretching and meditation also known as Hot Yoga. My instructor, and dear friend Kyle, was able to teach me some basic positions to help keep my muscles relaxed and limber.
Yoga is often overlooked when it comes to physical fitness, but it has the power to increase flexibility, muscle, strength and tone while improving athletic performance and respiration. It gives you energy, perfects your posture, increases blood flow and betters your bone health.
There are so many countless benefits of yoga, and for the most part, it is something that everyone can get down to. While you may not break a heavy sweat while doing so, yoga is a great way to get in tune with your body both mentally and physically.
Here are some fundamental postures you can do anywhere. Just grab a mat, and come on!
