Fit Fridays 1.13.17

It is officially 2017 and like many others, I’m striving to be a healthier more fit person as we move into the new year. New year, new me! Right? Not to be cliche but I’m using these freezing January days as a fresh start to pick back up on fitness blogging as I continuously reshape my life as a healthier person. Over the past year or so, I’ve run more miles than I’ve ever done, I’ve lifted more and more pounds and I’ve pushed myself to do things I’ve never done before such as joining a flag football league. I grew to be the best version of myself physically and have gotten a boatload of result compliments that all I can say back is “thank you, I worked hard for it.”

For me personally, starting 2017 off isn’t going to be plunging into new icy waters and pray and hope I come out alive. It’s about me already being wet and cold and still striving to swim a little deeper a little longer and a little stronger. I want to bring you “Fit Fridays” where I publically give you little weekly updated videos (produced by a little genius that goes by the name of Luwam) and stories that you can relate to as I endure another physical chapter in my life. I’ll share with you the weeks I beast out and come out on top while feeling great as I step closer to achieving my fitness goals, but I’ll also keep it real and share with you when I fall off the wagon and need some motivation to get back up running. From meals to all of the different avenues of fitness I follow and tips and techniques. I’ll show you what works, what doesn’t, the struggles and the pain. I’ll keep it real, I promise. I only hope to inspire others as I figure this fitness life out myself. Stay tuned for weekly vlogs coming to you every Friday.

So this is me now.

And this is my inspiration.

I’m excited to see where this will take me. It will be both a mental and physical test to see just how far I can push myself. Hopefully, I can inspire and teach you all a thing or two during my journey. Come work out and grow with me— I’ll keep it interesting and fun, I promise.

Today’s workout consisted of a light run to Piedmont Park located in Atlanta’s Midtown. It was an awesome 70 degree day so I seized the opportunity of an outdoor run.
